Produced by guitarist Tony Iommi - again, recorded in England - the band aimed for a straightforward, aggressive sound. Tony Iommi explained that part of the concept was a return to "rock'n'roll". The cover art is considered one of the worst in rock history, and the band claims that they thought it was a test recording and therefore placed no emphasis on the artwork.
