About the concert at Shepherd's Bush Empire: Joe Bonamassa is a blues musician with everything. He used the second night of his London tour to showcase the highlights of his true love. Backed by a horn section, he played blues-soaked songs from his extensive catalogue. The incredible concert event, available on four different DVDs or Blu-rays since autumn 2013, was recorded on four consecutive days and at the following four venues in March 2013: the Borderline, Shepherd's Bush Empire, Hammersmith Apollo and the Royal Albert Hall. In total these unique concerts were seen by over 12,000 fans. Each of the four nights had its own theme. At the small The Borderline, Joe indulged in his early trio years, at Shepherd's Bush it was all blues and at Hammersmith it was rock'n'roll. All together, it was then re-imagined at the Royal Albert Hall. Great emphasis was placed on making each night interesting for the audience, with a different backing band and different setlists. So over 60 songs were used, some of which had never been played live before. Review "Musically, there is nothing to complain about, especially when the overlaps are kept within bounds."
