The album was recorded in 1978 and, along with "Roaring Silence", is considered the outstanding work of Mannfred Mann's Earth Band from this period. The included Bob Dylan song "Mighty Quinn" is also an undisputed classic in their rendition. "Davy's On The Road Again", written by Robbie Robertson, is also one of Manfred Mann's Earth Band's most famous songs. On "Watch", the band breaks away from prog rock influences (such as on "Solaris") and focuses more on the structure of classic rock songs.
