Intense lyrics are balanced by epic arrangements that blend art rock, progressive metal and orchestral flourishes such as "Stockholm Syndrome," "Time Is Running Out," "Butterflies and Hurricanes" and "Hysteria." Listeners responded to the band's high ambitions; the album topped the UK album chart and went gold in America, earning Muse a huge following in the US. Anyone who enjoys dark, dramatic music played with unbridled grandeur should get ABSOLUTION.Review by C.
