In the mid-1970s the band went to the USA, where they stayed for a short time. This album - the sixth studio effort of their career - was recorded at New York's Record Plant studio and originally released in the spring of 1976. In addition to the hit singles "In For A Penny" and "Let's Call It Quits", the album featured a wide range of emotions, sounds and tempo changes - by no means were they just "screamers" on it!This CD, digitally remastered by Tim Turan, includes four bonus tracks: the single "Thanks For The Memory", its b-side "Raining In My Champagne" and the b-sides (to both singles) "Can You Just Imagine" and "When The Chips Are Down". The booklet contains a lot of information about the album and rare photos, including one by Gered Mankowitz. Recorded while in the States in the mid-1970s, Nobody's Fools is arguably the most diverse and accomplished album of Slade's career. Beautifully remastered and complete with rare B-sides, the album is essential for Slade.
