The album was recorded between March and April 1966 and features 14 tracks, including classics such as "Eleanor Rigby", "Yellow Submarine" and "Taxman". The album was a departure from the band's earlier work, as it featured more complex and psychedelic arrangements and heavier guitar riffs. The album was also the first Beatles album released on CD.
