The Doors: Full Circle + Other Voices verzia na 2CD v remasterované edícii. Toto konkrétne vydanie vyšlo v Európa vo vydavateľstve Rhino Records (2) v spolupráci s Elektra a Doors Music Company dňa 17. mája 2019.
After DOORS singer Jim Morrison was found dead in a Paris hotel in 1971, the band's story was not over. The "remaining" musicians, drummer John Densmore, guitarist Robby Krieger and keyboardist Ray Manzarek, kept the idea of the band as a trio and released two more albums, Other Voices (1971) and Full Circle (1972). Not surprisingly, neither of these albums made it into the "must have" canon, and so it came to pass that for several years they were only available in digital editions. This has not been matched by the high quality of the recordings, and now, thanks to Warner Music, that will change: Other Voices and Full Circle will be released in a new 180g vinyl edition and, for the first time, on CD. The vinyl editions of the albums have accurately reproduced packaging, including the eccentric cover of the original Full Circle edition. Like the zoetrope, which allows the primitive animation of sequences of images by turning a so-called "magic drum", the cycle of human life from childhood to old age is revealed. The albums are combined for the first time on a double CD and completely remastered by Bruce Botnik. In addition, there is the rarely heard bonus track "Treetrunk", which was released in 1972 as the b-side of the single "Get Up And Dance". "Flashback": the band had just finished work on the L.A. Woman album when Morrison moved to Paris to make a living as a poet. Meanwhile, the remaining members remained in Los Angeles to work on new material for what was to be their seventh album. When the legendary singer died on July 3, 1971, Krieger, Densmore and Manzarek decided to go ahead and use the new material as the basis for Other Voices, with Krieger and Manzarek taking over the vocals. The Other Voices album was then released in December 1971, charting at number 38 in the US charts and featuring the two singles "Tightrope Ride" and "Ship w/ Sails". After a successful American tour, the trio went into the studio again to record the album Full Circle, which was released in the summer of 1972. The album surprised with more prominent jazz elements in the arrangements of some of the tracks, such as "Verdilac" and "The Piano Bird". After another tour, the Doors members initially went their own way, but over the years they reunited again and again for special projects, including the band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. reviews "The package was completed with the song "Treetrunk", the B-side of the single "Get Up And Dance". For a long time the album was only available digitally, stylistically following in the footsteps of L.A. WOMAN, with vocal parts taken by Manzarek, who had previously occasionally filled in for the indisposed Morrison, and Krieger." (Good Times, October/November 2015) "For its age, the album sounds surprisingly punchy, colourful and balanced - you can hear that former Doors sound engineer Bruce Botnick worked on it."
