Roger and I are old men in every way, so I tried to stay away from romance and nostalgia as much as possible. I didn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable. But memories are okay. Some of the songs also refer to the alarming state of the world today.""I think we made the best album since Quadrophenia in 1973," Daltrey adds. "Pete is still a great songwriter."
