U2 to release iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour footage in June Last year, legendary Irish band U2 toured the world extensively in support of the release of their latest studio album Songs Of Innocence. The original schedule of a few dozen shows around the world has grown to nearly eighty shows in Europe and South America, during which U2 have delighted nearly 1.3 million fans live, thanks to huge fan demand. On June 10, even those who didn't make it to the concerts will be able to see the show...The deluxe version on DVD will have a second bonus disc, so fans will be able to enjoy hours of bonus material in addition to the concert, such as a very special behind-the-scenes look at the entire tour by the director and the band themselves, the preparations for the special concerts in Paris, as well as video clips and alternate versions of them, all of which tie in with the latest studio album. The Blu-ray format will offer the same content, but die-hard fans will probably reach for the super deluxe box, which, in addition to the combination of the deluxe DVD and Blu-ray format, will also offer many special gifts made for this box. Namely, an exclusive USB bulb, a sixty-four page book, an individually numbered dog tag, a set of special concert stencils, several postcards, stickers and posters. "Directing 'iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE' was scary. A technical nightmare married to a creative roller coaster. The title, named U2 - iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE - Live In Paris, maps two exceptional concerts in the French capital, where the band was joined by special guests - singer Patty Smith and, most importantly, the band Eagles Of Death Metal, who also symbolically returned to the site of last year's terrorist attacks, which at the time very painfully affected their performances there...
