90s Alternative Rock Band

4 Non Blondes was an American rock band formed in 1989 in San Francisco. The group consisted of bassist Christa Hillhouse, guitarist Shaunna Hall, drummer Wanda Day, and vocalist and guitarist Linda Perry. They gained major popularity with their 1992 hit single "What's Up?" from their only album "Bigger, Better, Faster, More!" which was released in the same year. The band's music was characterized by its blend of rock and blues influences, and they were known for their powerful live performances. Despite their initial success, 4 Non Blondes disbanded in 1994 as Perry left to pursue a solo career. Linda Perry went on to become a successful songwriter and producer, working with artists such as Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Gwen Stefani. The legacy of 4 Non Blondes is largely defined by their anthemic hit "What's Up?" which continues to be a popular song across generations.
