Keanu Reeves Alternative Rock Band

Dogstar was an alternative rock band that gained attention in the mid-1990s, partly due to the involvement of actor Keanu Reeves, who played bass guitar. The band was formed in 1991 and included Bret Domrose as the vocalist and guitarist, Robert Mailhouse as the drummer, and Reeves. Dogstar initially started as a grunge band but later shifted to a more general alternative rock sound. They released their debut album "Our Little Visionary" in 1996 and followed up with "Happy Ending" in 2000. The band performed at various venues, including music festivals like Glastonbury, and opened for bands like Bon Jovi. Despite their moderate success and a dedicated fan base, Dogstar never achieved mainstream success. They eventually disbanded in the early 2000s as the members pursued other interests. Keanu Reeves' fame as an actor often overshadowed the band's music career, but they maintained a level of respect within the industry for their work and live performances.
