Ensemble Marsyas is a distinguished chamber music group that specializes in the music of the Baroque and early Classical periods. The ensemble, named after the mythical Greek satyr known for his musical prowess, was formed by a group of international soloists, chamber musicians, and principal players from some of Europe's leading orchestras. Their repertoire focuses on historically informed performances using period instruments, which allows them to bring a fresh and authentic sound to the works they perform.
