Fumaça Preta is a psychedelic rock band that blends elements of tropicalia, funk, and noise into a unique and experimental sound. The band was formed by Portuguese-Venezuelan producer and multi-instrumentalist Alex Figueira, who started the project as a home studio experiment before recruiting other musicians to bring Fumaça Preta to life. Their self-titled debut album "Fumaça Preta" was released in 2014, showcasing a raw and energetic fusion of genres, with lyrics in Portuguese adding to the international flavor of their music. The band's subsequent albums, including "Impuros Fanáticos" released in 2016, continued to explore and expand upon their distinctive musical style.
