Lo Moon is an American indie rock band that originated in Los Angeles, California. The group was formed by frontman Matt Lowell, who later recruited Crisanta Baker (keyboardist/bassist/vocalist) and Samuel Stewart (guitarist) to complete the lineup. They first gained attention with their debut single "Loveless," which was released in 2016. The track garnered critical acclaim and set the stage for their self-titled debut album, "Lo Moon," which was released in February 2018. The album showcased the band's atmospheric sound, characterized by lush soundscapes and emotive lyrics, drawing comparisons to the ambient pop of the 1980s and '90s.
