The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, known since 2018 as The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, is one of the oldest and most prominent choirs in the United States. Founded in 1847, the choir is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and consists of 360 volunteer singers drawn from various backgrounds. The choir is part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), and its members are required to be church members in good standing. Known for its rich, distinctive sound, the choir has performed at presidential inaugurations, World's Fairs, and other significant events. They have also won Grammy and Emmy Awards for their performances.
