Mr Jukes is the solo project of Jack Steadman, best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the British indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club. Stepping away from the guitar-driven sound of his band, Mr Jukes represents Steadman's exploration into more soulful and jazz-inspired territories. His debut album, "God First," released in 2017, showcases this shift in musical direction and features collaborations with artists such as BJ the Chicago Kid, Lianne La Havas, and De La Soul. The project allowed Steadman to experiment with different genres and production techniques, incorporating elements of funk, soul, jazz, and gospel into his work. Mr Jukes continues to be an outlet for Steadman's diverse musical interests and talents beyond his contributions to Bombay Bicycle Club.
