Robert Sund

Swedish Choral Conductor and Composer

Swedish conductor, composer, arranger and singer, born April 19, 1942. He who grew up in Sandviken, studied at Uppsala University 1963–1969 and is a file. mag. in psychology. He then studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm 1971–1975, where he then in the years 1978–1995 taught conducting and ensemble conducting. From 1985 to 2008 he was the leader of the men's choir Orphei Drängar, the years 1985-1991 together with Eric Ericson. He has also been the lead singer in Allmänna Sången in the years 1970–1988 and started the women's choir La Cappella in 1986. Robert Sund also sang in the nationally known Quintet Olsson and in Eric Ericson's Chamber Choir. He has been a board member of the Swedish Choir Association and the Swedish Choir Leaders Association. Robert Sund is the older brother of the conductor and composer Håkan Sund.
