Thin Lizzy's last studio album Thunder & Lightning (1983) was a return to the heavier rock roots for which the band was famous, and featured the guitar talents of John Sykes. The song ideas on the twelfth album are well worth a listen, and a decade younger John Sykes energizes the band. Together with producer Chris Tsangarides, Thin Lizzy have given the nine numbers a harder sound that sounds more like metal than classic 70s rock.
