Belgian electronic music project

Metroland is a Belgian electronic music band, known for their unique blend of synthpop and electronic body music (EBM) with a clear inspiration from the sound of bands like Kraftwerk. The duo, consisting of Passenger A and Passenger S, formed Metroland in 2012 and quickly became known for their conceptual approach to music, often themed around transportation, technology, and modernist design. Their debut album "Mind The Gap," released in 2012, established their characteristic style—a mix of melodic tunes with a retro-futuristic aesthetic. They continued to explore and expand their sound with subsequent albums such as "Triadic Ballet" in 2015, which was inspired by the Bauhaus art movement, and "Things Will Never Sound The Same Again" in 2016, an album created as a tribute to a late friend and artistic influence. Metroland's music is characterized by its use of vintage synthesizers, intricate sequences, and thematic consistency.
